Dear Parents and Students,

Beginning with the 2009-10 program year, the Blaine School District Board of Directors has approved the implementation of a “Participation Fee” for those students choosing to take part in organized athletics, at both the High School and Middle School.  In a time of increasing demands upon diminishing resources at both the state and local level, these fees will help us to assure for the continuation of existing activities for students outside the classroom.

For the 2009-10 school year, the fees will be implemented as follows:

These fees are being assessed in addition to ASB fees, and should be paid at the time that ASB fees are paid at the individual school offices (“Participation Fee” checks should be made payable to the Blaine School District).

If your student is eligible for free or reduced lunch, you may pay a reduced “Participation Fee”.  The reduced fee levels are $10 per season @ the High School and a one time fee of $15.00 @ the Middle School.
