Follow the links and answer the questions below as you learn more about pebbles, sand, and silt. Take notes on your worksheet so that your teachers know when you have finished the activities.

1. Click on this link that will take you to the Foss website. Foss Web When you get there, click on the Pebbles, Sand, and Silt icon.

2. Then click on photo gallery.

3. Click on Gallery 2: Rock Quarry Piles

4. Browse through this gallery by clicking on each picture to make it bigger, and by using the next, back, or home arrows to see the other pictures. Click home when you are done looking.

5. Choose one photo from Gallery 2 and tell about it. Follow the directions on your worksheet for #1.

13. Click on any of the pictures to see a video of a rock quarry. As you watch, listen to find out what the large rock blocks are used for.
