School District offers this tuition free preschool for children
between ages three through five years of age who have significant
developmental delays in the following categories. |
| Communication - The ability a child
has to understand language and use speech to express oneself. |
| Fine motor - The ability to use
hands together to perform tasks like fastening buttons, zippers,
lacing, drawing,, cutting or writing. |
| Gross motor - The ability the body
has to move through space. To hop, skip, run avoiding obstacles
and using smooth movements without falling,. Coordinated throwing
and catching a 6'ball. |
| Social emotional -Atypical behaviors
and relationships with other children and adults |
| Adaptive / Self Help-How a child copes independently
in the environment. Independence in dressing, feeding, or toileting
as compared to children the same age. |
| Children who are orthopedically impaired,
are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired, autisitc,
brain injured, or have other chronic health problems are eligible
for preschool services. |
