Balance and Motion

2nd grade Science Webquest

Follow the links and answer the questions below as you learn more about balance and motion. Take notes on your worksheet so that your teachers know when you have finished the activities.

1. Click on this link that will take you to the Foss website. Foss Web When you get there, click on the Balance and Motion icon.
2. Then click on movies.
3. Click on Swinging Toys and watch the short movie.
4. Click on photo gallery and look through Gallery 1: Balancing Toys. Read step 5 before you go on...
5. Click on each picture to make it bigger. Use the back, next, and home buttons to go back and forth between pictures.
6. Choose one photo and answer the question under the picture. Follow the directions on your worksheet for #1.	#1
7. Click on movies again.
8. This time click on Tops in Motion.
9. Watch the movie, then answer question #2 on your worksheet.	#2
10. If you have time, go back to the main Foss page and choose Ask a Scientist. Read the questions and answers from other students like you.
