With the high energy requirements of
these activities, food needs may be greater than during a regular
school day. Each participant should eat a hearty breakfast
before arriving for the day. Also, each participant is required
to bring ample food to fuel their bodies for these rigorous
activities. We highly recommend a larger-than-usual, low-sugar
lunch without caffeinated drinks.
As many activities lead us to sometimes muddy, wet, and uneven terrain,
it is of utmost importance to come thoroughly prepared for each
activity. Thorough gear lists will be handed out prior to each
trip. However, be prepared with the usual staple items:
--backpack with two working straps
--sturdy lace-up sneakers or boots
--waterproof rain jacket (and rain pants if possible)
--water bottles
--your healthy lunch
