Back to Rocks and Water Homepage

Rocks and Water is funded by a state 21st Century Community Learning Center grant, awarded by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.  This means the trips are FREE for you!  Rocks and Water makes use of the remarkable skills of our middle school staff plus works with other local agencies like the Whatcom County YMCA and nearby outdoor guides.

Our idea is that outdoor education is a fantastic way to learn real world skills in exciting adventure settings.  Yes, it's school and play mixed together in fantastic ways.  This program is much more than just having fun on Saturdays during the school year or during a week of summer!

Students are expected to be safe, respectful, responsible, and active participants in the program. 
Those who choose to compromise the safety of themselves or others will forfeit their place in the program.
