Blaine Middle
School
Mission
Our mission at Blaine Middle School is to
provide a safe and caring, learning environment where successful
academic, social, and physical experiences will empower our students
to make responsible choices, to become life long learners, and to
welcome, with confidence, the challenges of the future.
We believe. . . .
- Student learning is the chief priority for
the school.
- Studentsí learning needs should be
the primary focus of all decisions impacting the work of the
school.
- All students can learn.
- Students need to not only demonstrate their
understanding of essential knowledge and skills, but also need to
be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality
work.
- Students learn in different ways and should
be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support
their learning.
- Students learn best when they are actively
engaged in the learning process.
- Each student is a valued individual with
unique physical, social, emotional and intellectual
needs.
- A safe and physically comfortable
environment promotes student learning.
- Teacher, administrators, parents and the
community share the responsibility for advancing the
schoolís mission.
- The commitment to continuous improvement is
imperative if our school is going to enable students to become
confident, self-directed, lifelong learners.
- Student Planners are beneficial in teaching
students the importance of organization.
- Smaller class loads increase learning and
lead to more interaction between individual students and their
teacher.
