Precalculus

Overview:

Precalculus continues the study of mathematical patterns. In this course, you will be asked to read carefully, write well, make appropriate use of mathematical symbols, and work cooperatively with others in addition to "doing math." The important goals of this course are for students to develop the habits of mind that are part of mathematical thinking and the confidence to solve significant mathematical problems in their future work. Precalculus is a two semester course.

Materials:

Each student is required to have a graphing calculator. Each student should also have a 3-ring notebook, writing utensils, and a ruler marked in both centimeters and inches. Materials including calculator, ruler, notebook, and textbook are to be brought to class each day and available for homework.
