For this class to be a valuable learning experience, we must all be willing to accept our roles in your education. My job is to teach and your job is to learn. (Yes, this is your job and you do get paid.) BE HERE ON TIME: You will be considered tardy if you are not in your seat when I begin to take role. Unless pre-arranged with me, the acceptance of "tardy excuses" will be at my discretion. Each tardy will result in a 5 point deduction along with the standard school sanctions. BE PREPARED: You will be expected to come to class prepared. This includes all supplies, completed work and admit notes. Do not come to me for supplies, I am all out. BE ON TASK: This comes down to doing what you should be doing. I should not have to tell you to get to work. TURN WORK IN ON TIME: Unless pre-arranged with me for an extension, late work will not be counted towards you class score. To gain an extension, you must contact me no later than the night before the assignment in question is due. Extensions will only be given in cases where situations are out of the student's control. Forgetting is not an acceptable excuse. BE RESPECTFUL: Above all, you will respect your peers, school property and the instructor. Anything less will not be accepted. ALL TYPED WORK MUST FOLLOW THE "WRITERS INC" TEXTBOOK: It must be 12-point font, double-spaced with 1-inch margins. |
