Meet Dan Persse . . .
Born and raised in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York I moved here in 1988 after serving four years in the USN. After commercial fishing for three years I married my wife and began going to school at WCC then transferred to WWU where I graduated in 1996 with a double major in PE K-12 and Exercise Science - Athletic Training. In 2004 I completed my masters in PE and Health. I have lived in Birch Bay Village since 1990 with my beautiful wife Cheryl, our two wonderful children Anna and Anthony, and our psycotic cat "Coho".

   I LOVE . . . to play with my kids, eat peanut butter - chocolate ice cream with my wife, read (read, and then read), present at PE conferences, watch the history channel, watch the classic movies, and lift a few weights!

 

 

It's FUN for me to . . . travel, build with wood whether it is a model boat or a fence, grilling steaks, ribs and chicken on the "barby", go to the movies, go sailing, jog/walk in the early mornings, take the ferry to the nearby islands, practice my sportsmedicine skills, teach my pe classes, hike the real simple trails with my wife, build websites, play board games like chess and Monopoly.

 

I'm GOOD at . . . getting up in the early morning, cooking, having a postitive attitude, picking reds from a gilnet, taping an ankle, hard manual/physical labor, and building models with wood.

I wish I was BETTER at . . .
doing paper work, sleeping "in", auto repair, art work, singing and dancing and playing an instrument.
