We believe that our service center is testimony to what is possible when an energetic staff and a supportive community join forces. We are guided by the tenets of the Washington State Family Policy Council and the principles of Family Support Practices. All center programs, projects and services are broadly designed to support family health and safety and/or foster strong family literacy practices.

 Family Literacy:

  • GED and ELL evening classes made available through a partnership with Bellingham Technical College and the support of the Kenneth L. Kellar Foundation
  • First Book distribution
  • Books and Breakfast--a family literacy program for K-5th grade children and their parents made available through the support of our local BP refinery
  • Morning Books, Bedtime Books--A home-based family reading project made awailable through the support of the Discuren Foundation
